Time Micro Figure Edition vs Regular Edition: Which 1:64 Diecast Should You Buy?
Browse Time Micro's range and you will notice two labels again and again: Figure Edition and Regular Edition. Both are 1:64 scale diecast, but they suit different collectors and budgets. Here is how to choose.
What is a Time Micro Figure Edition?
A Figure Edition pairs the car with a small figure, adding a scene-setting detail to the display. Examples in our range include the Porsche 918 Spyder in Liquid Silver, the Mazda RX-7 Veilside Fast & Furious edition, the Nissan GTR R32 Castrol No. 23, the Mini Cooper EVA editions in Purple and Red, and the G550 and Beetle Martini editions.
What is a Regular Edition?
Regular Editions skip the figure and keep the focus on the car. The Toyota AE86 Black Cover, at around ₹1,799, and the Beetle HKS, at around ₹2,449, are the more affordable way into the brand.
Price comparison
- Regular Editions: roughly ₹1,800 to ₹2,500.
- Figure Editions: mostly ₹3,000 to ₹4,000, with the Porsche 918 Spyder Liquid Silver and Mazda RX-7 Veilside at around ₹3,998.
- Limited runs: the Volkswagen T1 Castrol No. 61 is limited to 999 pieces.
Which should you buy?
- Starting out or on a budget: choose a Regular Edition and enjoy the diecast quality at a lower price.
- Building a themed display: choose Figure Editions, especially for movie or livery-inspired scenes.
- Collecting for rarity: look at limited-run releases like the numbered VW T1 and buy early.
